JOHN R. LOVELL is of counsel at Hollberg & Weaver, LLP. He received his B.A. degree from Oral Roberts University in 1989. He attended law school at Albany Law School and earned his J.D. in 1993.
He has served in Georgia as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, an Assistant Attorney General, and as an Assistant District Attorney in Georgia and New York.
He is a trial attorney with over 14 years of trial experience. He has tried cases in the Superior Court of Georgia, Supreme Court of New York, and Federal District Court. He has presented numerous briefs and argued before the appellate courts of New York and Federal Court in Georgia.
In the civil arena, he handles all forms of trial work including personal injury cases and general business litigation. John represents various individual and family-owned business.
In the criminal courts of metro Atlanta, he uses nearly a decade and a half of knowledge to advocate for his clients. He has a great record of success representing people who do not have any prior criminal record and desperately need an attorney to explore and negotiate alternatives to incarceration. He has helped clients avoid a criminal record.
He also represents accused persons charged with serious crimes in the state and federal courts throughout Georgia.

John and his wife, Jennifer, live with their 3 children in northern Coweta County, between Newnan and Peachtree City. John is active in Coweta County as a youth athletic coach and member of Crossroads Church in Newnan, where he serves as an elder. The family enjoys travel and virtually all outdoor activities!

Jim uses a unique specialized process in representing clients working closely with his wife Mary Ruth Mann, an experienced attorney and dramatist, in carefully developing a client’s story for trial.
